Fences:  This program allows you to fence in your desktop icons but it also with a 2 clicks to have all your icons vanish and 2 more clicks they are back.  This is free for private use.  This is really great to have so you can see a wallpaper without things blocking it.

CCleaner:  This is a great program that allows you to clean up your computer.  It gets rid of the cookies and history that IE will leave behind even after you have told it to delete them. It also has a tool to clean the registry and the startup menu plus more.
