Supplies
you will need. Download this
zip file that contains the image, mask and
gold pattern I'll be using. Place the gold fold
into your pattern folder in PSP. You may use
another image besides the Nymph one I am using.
I do not know who is the artist/owner of this
image, if anyone knows please let me know so I
can give them proper credit.
Open up the image you
are going to use in your psp along with your
mask. Use shift
D to make a copy and then close out the
originals. You can minimize the mask
image because we will be working on the image
of the woman. Go under layers and add a
new raster layer. Flood fill this layer
with white. Now go up to Masks and
choose new and then from image.
Choose the
sg_hanging-basket.jpg at the settings below
Go back under masks and
click delete. When the window pops up
asking if you'd like to merge with current
layer click Yes.
Go under 3d Effects,
texture effects, sculpture and choose the
Mahogany Preset
Your image should now look
something like this:
Now we are going to make
the gold part of this frame. Go under
layers and add a new raster layer. Flood fill
this layer with white. Now go up to Masks and
choose new and then from image. Use the
same settings as before except this time you
will check off invert
Again go under Masks and
click delete.
On your layer Palette you
should have 3 layers: Background, layer
1 (which is your wood layer) and Layer 2.
Click on the visibility (little glasses) for
your wood layer so that it is not seen at this
point.
Now you want to use your
magic wand. On the tool option palette
choose Opacity for the Match Mode and
tolerance of 22
On your image Click on
the white Oval area with your magic wand.
Then go to selections, modify, expand by 9
Click cut or press
delete. Select None
Go back to your 3d effects,
texture, sculpture but now you are going to
set it for your Gold Preset and then change
the pattern to your gold_fold.bmp that you
saved to your patterns folder.
Go back to your layer
palette and click on the visibility for Layer
1 so that it's visible again. Now drag
Layer 2 (your gold layer so it's beneath Layer
1)
Now you can add some text
if you want. I used Monotype Corsiva.
While still selected I did
the same Gold sculpture as above. Go to
layer palette and right click on the floating
selection and choose Promote to layer.
You can now use your mover tool to move the
text to where you want.
Your image should now look
something like this:
Remember to have fun :)
